Stock trading, banking hours for Ramadan

The country’s prime bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has rescheduled their trading time for the month of Ramadan
The country’s prime bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has rescheduled their trading time for the month of Ramadan.
Similarly, Bangladesh Bank has also fixed their office hours keeping Ramadan in mind.
The trading will start at the DSE at 10:00am and will continue till 2:00pm without any break, said a DSE press release issued on Sunday.
On the other hand, the central bank has fixed office hours for all banks from 9:30am to 4:00pm for the month of Ramadan.
Bank staff will get a prayer break between 1:15pm and 1:30pm, Bangladesh Bank said in a statement yesterday.
After Eid-ul-Fitr, trading at both the bourses will start at 10.30am and close at 2.30pm from Sunday to Thursday.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has not yet taken decision about trading times during Ramadan as they normally follow DSE’s schedule.
