Brac Bank receives Global SME Finance Awards

Brac Bank has received a worldwide SME Finance Awards in the silver group of SME Bank of the Year - Asia.
This can be the second consecutive year that Brac Bank has been awarded with this accolade, says a news release.
International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of World Bank Group, and the SME Finance Forum jointly organised the 2020 Global SME Finance Awards through a virtual platform recently.
"Our SME team has delivered just as before, and this award is an acknowledgment of their tireless efforts and shoot for excellence," said Selim RF Hussain, CEO of Brac Bank.
"With its network of 456 SME unit offices, Brac Bank's focus is definitely on SMEs and it'll remain there for a long time," he said.
The lender takes financing answers to the doorsteps of the SME entrepreneurs in both rural and semi-urban Bangladesh, he said, adding, "We are pleased with recognitions that value our purposes."
"We hope the winners of the Global SME Finance Awards will inspire SME financiers around the globe to learn from their good practices," said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the SME Finance Forum.
"The awards provide the winners an possibility to showcase good practices on the global stage and to foster learning among their peers."

Endorsed by the G20's Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), the Global SME Finance Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of finance institutions and fintech companies in delivering exceptional product or service with their SME clients.
The awards also provide a chance for institutions to showcase and share their practices and experience and for the wider SME finance community to understand from their examples.
The lender also received an honorable mention in the "Best Bank for Women Entrepreneurs" category in this award programme.
